January 31 - SIX MONTH MARK

Where we have been August 2023 leaving Alaska Current spot KOA Clearwater / Lake Tarpon, FL The three of us today   Six month mark. Yahoo! And six more to go. God willing.  Thank you for all of the prayers for safety, health, and everything else!  Here are some highlights: * States we have traveled to : Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida  * People we have seen: Family, friends, godparents, high school and college friends, former neighbors, former coworkers, former nannies, Soldotna gym friends, and more! January 28 - Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida

Rose and Jenn at New Orleans School of Cookimg Rose showing no interest in eating  frog legs at Stanley’s. Our campground was in Picayune, MS. We didn’t realize our site was lakefront, at least for a few days. Fog. Need I say more.  Clouds that we never see in Alaska.  New Orleans, LO Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. Coffee, Hot cocoa and beignets.  Rainy day in New Orleans. Leaving Cafe du Monde. Cathedral and museum. Jenn and Ken French Quarter At cooking school, watching demo. We learned how to make gumbo,  jambalaya, and pralines.  Foggy again Waterfront campsite in MS. One of those  campgrounds that look better at night. Trees were lovely.  Passing through Alabama. Rose and Buc’ee We are now in Florida until mid-March. After Rose learns about the new state we are in, she puts the state sticker on our map.  She really wants to go to Hawaii in the camper.  Weather in Florida. Tornado watch never  became a warning. January 21 - Houston, Texas

Visited with family Ike and Barbara in Houston Enjoyed lunch, the Museum of Fine Arts, coffee, and the Rothko Chapel with them  Rose at Space Center Houston Rose at Museum of Natural Science Gold wall at Museum of NS Rose and Jenn in gold room  Trolls 3 movie outing the day it was in the 30s Note that seats didn’t recline unlike our theater  in little Soldotna  Museum of Fine Arts Outside Rothko Chapel Rose at Kemah Boardwalk  She rode this at least 10 times. Well maybe 20.
