Day 13 - On the road again

Sunday, August 13th
** Note -. I am planning to do weekly updates so you will not see blog entries for every day. And the only reason I know what day it is, is because we left on the first of the month.**

Today we are headed to Fall City, WA east of Seattle for 2 nights.

Highlights from our week at KOA Burlington in northern WA: exploring the creek, finding crawdads, Rose seeing her first ever snake - a gartersnake - and wanting to catch one, bike rides, HEAT (high 70s), indoor pool and hot tub, Rose’s 10th birthday celebration at trampoline park in Bellingham, making a blackberry cobbler from berries we picked at campground, doing laundry in a laundromat (not a fun highlight), lettuce leaves blowing away in kitchen area with AC above prep area, Ken repairing things and improving things for the camper (an unending job), farms and cows everywhere (better than mosquitoes), Spark electricity museum (field trip for Rose), and meeting SO many nice people. Rose quickly made friends with two great kids Kaydence and Brayden and they enjoyed biking, swimming, picnics, nature walks, s’mores and more!

Initial impressions from camper living:
Ken - enjoys meeting people from different parts of the country; working on getting organized
Rose- she gives it a 5 out of 10, “I’d rather be in a house or a hotel”
Jenn - still trying to get used to our small refrigerator so we have to be smart as to what we buy that needs refrigeration. Returning everything to where it belongs or quickly the camper is very messy. Wish it were colder like AK temps!
