We spent the last week in Paso Robles, CA. The weather got hotter and hotter and was 98 degrees or more. Thankfully this campground had awesome swimming pools and we figured out a way for our air conditioning to keep working even though it’s so hot outside. What a blessing!

On Friday we headed to Cambria where it was a little cooler. There was a nice breeze near the water and we saw dozens of sea otters. We also “almost” had an accident thanks to a driver who decided to move into the slow lane as we were merging onto the highway with just our pickup truck! Thankfully Ken didn’t fully move over as I muttered something, although he said it wasn’t anything that provided him with good information. Another blessing, thank God.

I only biked a little bit on two occasions. By the time it cooled off it got dark which was unfortunate. Our kick scooters were a good way to get around the campground and to the pools.

Rose was able to do gymnastics twice and at the Colony Day in Atascadero she did a double back flip while on the bungee trampoline. She loved that! And she got a free drum lesson and was told that she has talent but needs some skills (aka lessons) to which she said “I can teach myself!”

We/mostly me got to spend some lovely afternoons with my godparents at their home in Atascadero and their son visited as well. It was tough saying goodbye.

And now we are headed to cooler temperatures, although still toasty (low 90s) at least at the beginning of the week, in Las Vegas. Then it’s forecasted to drop into the high 70s.

  1. Yes 98 can be very hot in a travel trailer.

    1. Yes it can be. Thankfully our AC kept working and never got higher than 75,. However, we have had morning camper temps in the 40s on this trip. Brrr
