February 25 - Naples, Florida

Ken teaching Abby how to ride
a motorcycle. She loved it.

Rose relaxing at Suzanne and John’s condo.

Rose making a beach in a bottle craft
at our campground.

The finished product. Lights and all.
The lady in charge of the craft, Wanda,
discouraged Rose from hiding all of
the creatures in the sand.
(We just have to remember
to secure it when traveling or
that won’t be fun.)

Abby and I ate at the Japanese restaurant
Stix for an early dinner.
Early dinners aka Happy Hours are very
popular here, especially for the older crowd.

We returned to Bistro La Baguette for Saturday pastries.

Rose guarding the pastries.

Croissants, pains au chocolats, apple strudel,
chocolate twist, and coconut ball.

We saw quite a few alligators on our way to Miami.
In fact, the road we took is nicknamed “Alligator Alley.”

Cecibon Haitian restaurant in Little Haiti, Miami.
Excellent chicken, spicy meatballs, plantains,
homemade lemonade and more.

Rose and I scootered here today to play some pickleball.

Rose found a sand dollar on beach walk with
Aunt Suzanne.

Another warm week in Naples, Florida. We hung out with Ken’s sister Suzanne until she left town on Thursday. She and Rose had a great walk on Tigertail Beach searching for seashells when Rose stumbled upon a beautiful sand dollar. Abby has extended her stay with us and is enjoying the sunshine, walks and pool. She has been fortunate to be able to stay at Suzanne’s lovely condo which is about 20 minutes away from us.

We have enjoyed pool time, ping pong, biking, scootering, pickleball, and just hanging out. We found a gymnastics center where Rose was able to do another 3 hour Open Gym session which she loved.

Saturday we drove 2 hours to Miami primarily to go to Little Haiti and have lunch. We all enjoyed the crispy fried chicken, plantains, rice and bean sauce, spicy meatballs, and more.

We returned to First Naples Church where we enjoyed another great service there today.

This week is our last week here in Naples and then we will head to Sarasota for a week on Friday. Thank you for all of the prayers for safety and health and all of the things! ❤️
