April 7 - Georgetown, Kentucky and Indianapolis, Indiana (Greenfield)

The three of us relaxing in hammocks
at the Indianapolis campground.

Rose and Jenn getting ready to watch
a 3D movie at the Creation Museum.

Ken and Jenn matching.
After living in close quarters for 8 months
this was bound to happen.

Jenn and Rose at the Ark Encounter.
It was the perfect stormy day with
heavy rain and lightning.
Good thing we had an Ark and raincoats.

Kentucky campground.
There was a tornado watch so we sat in
the nearby bath house for an hour. The storm
wasn’t too bad. The WiFi was the strongest
in the bath house! Rose also made some
friends in the campground so she was sad to leave.

Our updated map.

Tomorrow’s big event. We are praying
for sun and not clouds.

It was a great week. A bit wet, windy and cold but I’m sure our Alaskan friends would have no pity on us. Kentucky was hit a bit hard by storms and tornados in places but we were OK.

The Ark Encounter and Creation Museum were the main attractions and field trips for the week. We were only in Kentucky for 4 nights but Rose really enjoyed the playground and bounce houses at our campground. Unfortunately the bounce houses were only inflated the first day as the subsequent days were too windy. She had fun nevertheless.

The drive to the Indianapolis area was uneventful but the last 10 miles was frustrating to Ken as my navigation took us on some very narrow and rural roads to our RV Park. After passing 30 farm properties we arrived at our KOA in Greenfield. We will be here 7 nights with the hope of viewing the solar eclipse tomorrow.

  1. Ken looks like he really enjoyed the hammock. Biggest smile so far!
