The International Spy Museum
was great with a lot of interactive
displays and short films.
We also saw a special exhibit of cars
from James Bond movies.

pickleball. Ken is having a
winning streak. I’m not competitive so
I’m fine with it.

Sailboat out of Solomons, Maryland.
We did a 2 hour tour on this
sailboat. It was in the 50s and a bit nippy.
Thanks Kristin for letting us know about
these tours.

This is Kristin. We worked at McDonald’s
growing up and also went to the same
high school and college.
Wow! It’s been a great week in the Washington D.C. area. From our campground we took an express bus into D.C. on Monday and a night tour on Thursday. The traffic in this area is beyond congested.
Highlights included taking the elevator to the top of the Washington Monument and spending hours at the International Spy Museum. The latter brought back memories of working for Mellon Bank in the 1990s when my supervisor thought that I was a spy. Not sure of what kind of spy but my co-worker let me know and he thought it was hilarious. It was a great museum and Rose enjoyed it tremendously. Ken checked out the Air and Space Museum but was a little disappointed that it is currently under renovation and many exhibits were not open. The night tour was very informative and beautiful despite the occasional light rain. This is definitely a place I would like to return to and spend more time as a tourist.
We are wrapping up the school year except for math. We will continue to complete the final 8 lessons in our very large workbook and we will keep learning about new states as we travel. Rose is ready for summer break. And so is her teacher. And the principal (Ken).
We normally would be traveling today (Friday) but my friend Kristin had told me about the Pride of Baltimore II sailboat tours and we reserved one for this afternoon so we extended our stay and will travel to Pennsylvania tomorrow. The sailboat tour was quite chilly even for us Alaskans. It was still a great sail followed by a lovely dinner compliments of Kristin.
Wonderful pictures and great memories ❤️
