Another great week. Abby is still visiting with us which has been great. We enjoyed time at the beach on Marco Island, our campground pool, Aunt Suzanne’s condo pool, and more. The weather has been quite warm during the day (70s) and except for the nonstop rain today, it has been very dry. 

I convinced Suzanne (Ken’s sister) to try CrossFit Naples with me and it was a great class. We found Open Gym time for Rose at a nearby gymnastics center and she enjoyed 3 hours there on Friday night. Ken is still running 4 miles a day five days a week, with a goal of getting back to 8 miles a day in a few months. I braved the traffic and crazy drivers and biked 20 miles one morning before school. On other days I walked to a nearby park (Sugden) and walked on a paved path around the lake. Rose gets recess breaks during school where we normally scooter around the campground. 

Today we went to First Church Naples and enjoyed great music and teaching. This church was recommended to us by Shannon’s mom so thank you Shannon. (Friend in Soldotna) Tonight we are headed to Aunt Suzanne’s for dinner.

Sooo nice to meet up for dinner and visit with the Long family - Toby, Caleb, Erica, Ken, Jenn, Titus, Rose Ken returning from another Home Depot run. There’s always something to fix on our tin can as  my friend Jill called it.  In Buc’ees parking lot in Springfield, Missouri. Rose realized after visiting these a few times that Buc’ee is a beaver, not a squirrel. Which makes her happy because a squirrel ate her chips in Crater Lake. We are in Branson, very close to the strip. Campground pool. It gets pretty busy in the afternoons when it’s in the 90s. Before leaving Sandusky, Ohio, we did attend church services at New Life Church. The pastor knew someone from Alaska Missions in Soldotna who we know and he had been to our community on a missions trip. Small world.  Now we are in Branson where it is Hot! Hot! Hot! High 80s and 90s. Ken is asking for 70s which he can still get at 3am. We are spending lots of time at the campground pool and just relaxing overall. Ken is sti...

December 17 - Phoenix, Arizona

Rose at Arizona Science Center Our decorations  Campground pool (yes it’s heated) and hot tub (also heated) Pickleball court  Rose saw Karissa again - we met her 2 years ago. She did her extensions and it only took 6 hours. Rose put together most of this 1,000 piece puzzle. Big accomplishment  Star party at Lost Dutchman State Park  We returned to the Ghost Town at night  Ghost town (that’s Ken, we didn’t see any ghosts) Jenn’s second cousin passed unexpectedly. He was living in Phoenix so we were able to attend services. It was great seeing cousins but wish it would have been under better circumstances. It was a great week! It’s still odd listening to Christmas songs with the car AC on, palm trees in sight, lovely sunsets, and lots of sun. Rose says that she misses the snow and is tired of the sun.
